Local fun runs, charity walks and fitness events coming up in Silom
Silom residents can register now for a string of group runs and walks that begin in mid-July along major local routes.
How we reported this

Organizers have opened registration for five community fitness events across Silom that start on 15 July and run through the end of the month.
The calendar fills quickly each year because Silom workers and residents use these group sessions to stay active during the peak rainy-season heat while supporting local causes.
The Silom Community Health Initiative will lead a 5-kilometre charity walk on 18 July that begins at the corner of Silom Road and Soi Convent before looping through the narrow lanes of Bang Rak. The Bangkok Wellness Network is staging a separate 8-kilometre fun run on 22 July that departs from Lumphini Park gate 3 and finishes near Chong Nonsi BTS station.
Entry fees for the charity walk stand at 350 baht, with all proceeds directed to a mobile clinic that operates weekly on Silom Road. Past events of similar size drew 650 participants according to the network’s records from last year’s July schedule.
Registration and route details
Runners can sign up online through the Bangkok Wellness Network site or at a pop-up desk that opens daily from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. outside the Sala Daeng BTS exit 4. The 22 July course stays on paved paths inside Lumphini Park for the first 3 kilometres before moving onto the service road that parallels Silom Road. Water stations will be placed every 2 kilometres, and volunteers from the Silom Fitness Club will manage traffic at each crossing.
Practical steps for participants
Anyone planning to join should arrive at least 45 minutes early for a safety briefing. Those who prefer shorter distances can choose the 3-kilometre option offered on 27 July that starts and ends at Benchasiri Park. Online forms close at midnight on 13 July for the first two events, after which only on-site spots remain.
