Facilities open daily at Chatuchak Park
Chatuchak Park provides free access to football fields, tennis courts and jogging or biking tracks every day from 4:30 AM to 9 PM. These venues sit inside the district where families already gather for weekend markets and weekend training sessions. The setup keeps costs low and schedules consistent for children who cannot afford private clubs.
AmazingKids works with Muang Thai Triathlon and partner groups to run triathlon, swimming and running events for young athletes across 2025. The programs use existing public spaces rather than new builds, which matches the pattern seen at the Children's Discovery Museum event.
Usage numbers and upgrades on record
The Bangkok Metropolitan Administration recorded a 17 percent rise in sports facility visits during 2024, reaching more than 11 million total visits. The agency spent 490 million baht on improvements that year and set aside 353 million baht for 2025 work across the capital. In Chatuchak itself, the BMA is adding reinforced roofing, better drainage and updated lighting at the Prachaniwet Sports Center after a March 11, 2026 inspection by Deputy Permanent Secretary Taiwhut Khankaew.
Bangkok has also placed a bid to host the 2030 Youth Olympic Games, listing 19 existing sites and 22 sports with a university campus as the athletes' village. The proposal relies on the same parks and centers already used by local groups.
