Officials allocated 353 million baht for further improvements in 2025, directing funds toward district-level upgrades such as those under way at the Prachaniwet Sports Center in Chatuchak.
Bid Positions Bangkok for Future Events
Thailand is bidding for the 2030 Youth Olympic Games, with Bangkok designated as the main Olympic village. The plan relies on existing university infrastructure and would host 22 sports at 19 sites inside the city. Chatuchak's established parks and museums already demonstrate the district's capacity to support large-scale youth programming.
